WLHN – The Pure Gospel Station

WLHN is a non-profit Christian radio station located at the Jackson Park Baptist Church at 3611 South Post Road in Muncie Indiana.

WLHN's emphasis is on classic southern gospel music and some of America's finest preaching.  Its format is a blend of southern gospel music, church choirs, camp meeting selections, hymns, bluegrass, and gospel oldies, with both local and national artists; and preaching from some of the greatest men of God including Adrian Rogers, Calvin Ray Evans, Oliver B. Green, and other local preachers.  The station also has regular news broadcasts, public service announcements, and other local information of interest to the community.

WLHN operates on a 250 watt license for its AM station at 990 kHz and a 100 watt license for its FM station, WJPB, at 99.1 MHz with a listening audience in east-central Indiana.  The AM and FM stations have identical simulcast content, and the Web streaming audio is identical to the broadcast versions of the station.  The FM station is in operation 24 hours/day and the AM station is limited by FCC regulations to daylight operating hours.

WLHN operates as a commercial/listener-supported station, with annual Share-A-Thons in February and September.  In addition, several churches and local businesses underwrite a portion of the daily programming.  Individual donations to support the station are also welcome.
